In this study, the cassava starch was crosslinked with sodium trimetaphosphate (TMFS). In this matrix was incorporated the sodium diclofenac drug, where it was evaluated its release kinetics, with the objective of verifying the possibility of employing the cassava starch microparticules crosslinked with TMFS in controlled release of drugs. It was used an experimental design which tested two concentrations of starch (-1 = 5%; 1 = 10%), two concentrations of crosslinkers (-1 = 15%; 1 = 30%) and two periods of time (-1= 2; 1 = 8 hours) besides, four repetitions for the main point which corresponds to concentration of starch 7,5%, crosslinkers 22,5% and time of 5 hours, a total of twelve experiments. It was found that the only factor that significantly influenced in a confidence level of 90% in incorporation of sodium diclofenac was the concentration of starch, the incorporation is greater when the starch concentration approaches 10%. It was selected the sample which incorporated the greatest amount of sodium diclofenac in each group with a different concentration of starch (A5R15t2; A10R30t2 and A7,5R22,5t5 4) for characterization by infrared spectroscopy, thermal analysis, cross-linking density, scanning electronic microscopy and also for the kinetic study of the release. The Greater Region Southwest of Paraná stands out for dairy farming, with production, processing and trading of derivatives. The use of endogenous lactic acid bacteria is gaining global market research and product development is attracting the interest of Educational Institutions in Brazil. This work aimed to isolate, identify and characterize the lactic microflora of raw milk, to develop endogenous starter culture, and using it, prepare the Cheese Typical. Two starters cultures, Streptococcus thermophillus compounds by bacteria and Lactobacillus delbrueckii sp bulgaricus were developed. The starter culture were tested in two dairy region, using pasteurized milk, preservatives sodium nitrate and lysozyme enzyme. The elaborate cheeses were subjected to analysis for the monitoring of changes during maturation (30, 60 and 180 days) and all samples exhibited physicochemical and microbiological characteristics according to Brazilian legislation. This study focused on evaluating the obtaining and characterization of TiO2-based photocatalysts immobilized on borosilicate glass. The synthesis of semiconductor was performed according to the sol-gel method, based on a multivariate design factorial design of experiments, to evaluate the effects of experimental variables of interest on the microstructure, adhesion and photocatalytic activity of the material, for which the blue QR-19 reactive dye and the effluent from the explosives industry, red water, were used as model substrates. Among the variables studied, the addition of silver (Ag), polyethylene glycol (PEG) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), it was observed that only the addition of silver and H2O2 resulted in significant effect on the influence of the studied responses. After obtaining samples of borosilicate glass-TiO2-Ag second optimized conditions, they were characterized by scanning (SEM) electron microscopy associated with energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) and infrared spectroscopy with Fourier transformed (FTIR). The kinako is an integral flour obtained from the seed of roasted and ground soybean. This flour has high nutritional quality according to the content of protein, fiber, unsaturated fatty acids and bioactive compounds such as isoflavones. The isoflavones in soy are present mainly in conjugated forms (β-glucosides, acetyl and malonyl) and, to a lesser extent, in the free form (aglycone). Several studies have demonstrated the efficacy of isoflavone aglycone in the prevention of chronic diseases. Some technologies have been employed for the conversion of β-glucosides isoflavones in aglycones atravéz high temperatures. In this context, this paper aims at conversion of isoflavones present in kinako using the roasting process, seeking to improve the nutritional quality and biological properties for later use as an ingredient in baked goods. Roasting was performed using a factorial design with 22, with the variables Temperature (°C) and time (min) of exposure. The Grass Annoni-2 (Eragrostis plana Nees), considered a noxious invasive and difficult to eradicate plant has the capacity to dominate the environment they are in, superseding Agrieconomic and native species. Part of this ability is related to allelopathic effects caused by allelochemicals released by this species. Thus, the identification of these allelochemicals can be a good alternative for the production of bio-herbicides. In this study, we determined the allelopathic potential of crude extracts of petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and methanol from the root of E. plana Nees collected in the summer in the experimental area of the course of Agronomy UTFPR - Pato Branco campus, as well as a phytochemical study for structural elucidation of potential allelochemicals. The allelopathic potential was assessed from bioassays of germination and growth of radicle and hypocotyl, using two receptor species (Ipomoea grandifolia and Euphorbia hetetophylla) and three concentrations of crude extracts (200, 400 and 600 ppm). As a result it was found that crude extracts of petroleum ether and ethyl acetate act mainly on the kinetics of the germination process by slowing it, while the crude methanol extract worked, especially in reducing the germination inhibiting 75.4% in comparison with blank (distilled water)...

The present study had as focus to evaluate the influence of the PH variables, temperature and time of agitation to obtain and the thermal behavior of co-precipitation of aluminum and cerium with 8-hidroxiquinolina. The process of syntheses was accomplished through the methodology of co-precipitation, using as precipitant agent the 8-hidroxiquinolina. For a better control of the variables that influence the precipitation system, pH, temperature and agitation time, it was elaborated an experimental planning, similar to the static planning, having as goal the optimization of the process. It was utilized, pH: 5, 10 and 7.5; temperature: 25, 60 and 42.5 ºC; agitation periods of 1, 2 and 3 h. It was obtained co-precipitation of all the variables possible combinations, hoping to have the influence of each variable on the thermal behavior of the complexes obtained. Sustainable development, a pressing approach, has changed businesses meaningfully and is based on economic, environmental and social bottom lines. Upon this context, new rules on business competition come up, supported especially by the changes in the standards of consumers’ behavior; demanding the company to adjust to new management paradigms. Sustainability is regarded as strategy for business competition however; the concept seems to be still controversial among researchers, experts and businesspeople. It is also in point of discussion how much managers and employees understand the idea of sustainability and whether companies are overlooking this goal or not. The present dissertation aims to analyze these aspects through an empirical and theoretical study. Its purpose, in a nutshell, is to identify managers’ and employees’ knowledge about corporate sustainability, in four major companies, from both industrial and commercial segments, in Southwest Paraná. The method adopted is quantitative and qualitative; nonparametric statistics were used to compare the answer of all interviewed employees. When discussing environmental contamination, just remember the amount of domestic and urban waste that are generated in towns and cities, which often do not receive any treatment. However, problems of environmental contamination are linked to agriculture, where organic waste with high potential polluters is generated. This way, the project had the objective of studying the anaerobic codigestion process of cattle and pig waste from the swine production systems and dairy farming activity, as an alternative to the treatment of these kinds of matrices, as well as to investigate the efficiency of biofertilizer matrices produced from the waste in cultured maize. For this, samples of manure from cattle and pigs were collected for characterization and subsequent use in the tests with different treatments. Then, the preparation of samples for the tests using the different inocula were made (in natura, inoculum of sanitation and inoculum isolated from bovine manure), in order to evaluate the degradation of waste via anaerobic codigestão. There is a common sense that ryegrass areas should be dissected 25 to 30 days prior corn crop sowing, otherwise, the cash crop yield might be impaired. However, in crop-livestock systems, this situation may be different. Moreover, 30 days less of grazing means a considerable financial loss to the farmer. Thus, it is important to study this possible effect within the production systems as well as its relationship with other factors such as corn nitrogen fertilization, the use or not of hairy vetch with ryegrass. Four experiments were carried out at Renascença – PR from April 2013 to April 2014: ryegrass under grazing and ungrazed; ryegrass intercropped with vetch grazed and ungrazed. The four experiments had the same treatments: time intervals between desiccation of winter pastures and corn sowing with or without nitrogen fertilization. The experiments were laid out as a randomized block design with a split plot scheme and four replications. Factor A were established at the main plot using three periods of winter ryegrass desiccation: 0, 15 and 30 days before corn sowing. In this work two nitrogen sources (urea and urea intercalated kaolinite) were immobilized in the PVA polymer matrix and sodium alginate in the ratio of 3:1, using the drip methodology in CaCl2. The granules were subjected to freezing and subsequent thawing in order to improve the structure and thermal resistance of the polymer matrix. The granules were analyzed for water removal with the increase of cycles of freeze/thaw (CC/D), and characterized by CHN, SEM, FTIR, XRD, TG and DTG. The granules that showed the best formulations were those of PVA+AS+U (PVA+sodium alginate+urea), because they present efficiency of immobilization near the granules PVA+AS+CI (PVA+sodium alginate+kaolinite intercalated with urea), but with greater thermal stability, about 200 °C. This research study focused on the preparation of environmental educators and, therefore, aimed to identify and analyze the relationships between social representations of environmental education and teaching practices developed by teachers of undergraduate courses in two federal universities, located in the southwest region of the Paraná. First the work was referenced with theoretical approach in which authors elucidate about the historical background of environmental education in Brazil, from its inception until its manifestation in Brazilian public policies; the fundamentals of environmental education in the conservative strand and critical stance, bringing an approach also about the issue of training of environmental educators in degrees. Ingestion of large amounts of sodium chloride has been associated with increased incidence of hypertension, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, incidence of nephrolithiasis, metabolic syndrome and other chronic diseases. The National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) evaluated 16 segments of processed foods and found that several products countains high levels of sodium, including some dairy products, standing out the cheeses. Thereby, the present study evaluated the effect of substitution of sodium by potassium on the physicochemical and microbiological characteristics of Minas Standard cheeses. The study consisted in the preparation of cheese type Minas Standard Control (C - 100% NaCl), T1 (50% NaCl + 50% KCl) and T2 (30% NaCl + 70% KCl). The cheeses were submitted to microbiological evaluation (coliforms at 35°C and 45°C, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella sp.) and gross composition (moisture, fat, protein, ash and chlorides) at 0 and 45 days of storage at 10°C ± 1˚C. Sodium and potassium levels were measured at 45 days of storage. The physico-chemical characterization consisted in determining titratable acidity, pH, proteolysis extension ratio and depth ratio proteolysis at 0, 15, 30 and 45 days of storage. The T1 and T2 cheeses submitted low moisture content compared to the control throughout the storage time. Chloride concentrations ranged between 0.35 and 0.44%. The main purpose of this research was to evaluate the evolution of family agroecosystems supported by agroecological practices in the microregion of Pato Branco – PR, and the role developed by technical assistance and rural extension in this process. The theoretical foundation consists of sustainable development concepts and rural sustainable development in agroecosystems, technical assistances and rural extension in the evolutionary and historical context. Kaolinite complexes interspersed with potassium acetate are highlighted in several studies due to its wide application in industry. The ease with which occurs intercalation process of potassium acetate kaolinite matrix from the material supports the use of many other reactions and products. Merge two procedures were compared in this work, mechanochemical reaction and the wet. Characterization techniques as X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic on solid samples (DRUV-Vis) were used for the verification of the material prepared. In order to obtain a material can be used as a potassium fertilizer controlled release was carried out to study the thermal behavior by thermal analysis DSC / TGA / DTG and evaluation of the material after leaching test. Brown rot (Monilinia fructicola) is the major disease of stone fruits, causing pre and postharvest losses. The objectives of this study were to evaluate different forms of extraction of canola and indian mustard extracts to control brown rot, assess the best way of application of extracts of these plants associated with thermotherapy to control brown rot and compare the best result of these studies with chemical control. Initially, tests were made with different forms of extraction of canola and indian mustard extracts. For this, brassica species were collected in full bloom, oven dried and ground to obtain a powder. For the simple extraction mode, the powder was mixed with water and filtered. For maceration extraction, the extract was filtered only after a time of 8 hours of booking. To infusion extract, was used water heated to 100 °C and after 20 min the solution was filtered. Simple extracts from each plant were selected to be tested in different combinations with the thermotherapy treatment by immersion in hot water (50 °C for 30 s). It is observed that there is concern offer for young people living in the countryside a differentiated education that meets their interests and expectations. Brazil remains notable as one of the largest producers of poultry in the world, even taking the lead in the global ranking of exporters of poultry meat, which makes the increasingly competitive segment and increasingly demanding consumers and stringent with regard to quality control and to avoid any kind of fraud. In order to curb the practice of fraud and misappropriation of any kind, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) through the Department of Inspection of Animal Products (DIPOA) proposed through the implementation of Self-Control Program, the Program Prevention and Control of Water Addition to Products - PPCAAP. This program gave rise to new specific legislation to assess the moisture content in chicken cuts, since previous legislation contemplated only control carcasses through the drip method (Dripping Test).
