The accumulation of documents available on the Web makes it difficult to information retrieve and efficient knowledge management. Traditional models of information retrieval are inadequate for effective and quick search, and the results are often numerous and irrelevant. With the advent of the Semantic Web it was possible the use of formal ontology as a model of web information retrieval that improves the quality of the information retrieved. Semantic portals are a Knowledge Management tool that offers greater capacity and speed of access to information relevant results. In this trend, the goal of the this research is propose minimum conditions necessary for the establishment potential of semantic portals, by mapping the use of ontology as a model of information retrieval. The research's locus included the portals of federal public universities in southern Brazil, starting from a comparative study between the Semantic Web features and the tools and technologies used in the institutions surveyed. The field research was instrumentalized by a pool, collecting data from the technical team responsible for portals. The growing demand from consumers for foods that beyond basic nutritional functions, exert beneficial health effects has stimulated researchers and the food industry to develop functional dairy products. In this class, special attention has been given to the development of yoghurt with probiotic and prebiotic properties, called symbiotic. Numerous mechanisms have been proposed to explain the benefits of consuming dairy symbiotic products, including the ability of probiotic microorganisms on conjugated linoleic acid production. The use of this compound has been associated with beneficial health effects, such as anticarcinogenic properties, modulation of the immune system, reduction of atherosclerosis, among others. The overall aim of this study was the production and characterization of a symbiotic banana flavored yogurt obtained from cow and goat milk, probiotic cultures Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp lactis Bb-12 and green banana pulp as resistant starch source. To achieve this goal, the following steps were carried out: literature review about conjugated linoleic acid, analysis of the chemical composition and physicochemical properties of cow's milk, goat milk, green banana, green banana pulp and yoghurt produced; checking the viability of the probiotic microorganism Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp lactis Bb-12 by enumeration during the useful life of the products (time 0...

Water is essential to the ecological balance and maintenance of life, however disturbances of different magnitudes have seriously affects their quality. In this sense, various analysis methodologies seek to measure the rate of contamination using evaluation of physical, chemical and biological parameters. Reservoirs can be classified as semi-lotic ecosystems originated from the damming of rivers and the distribution of organisms in this water body is influenced by physical, chemical and biological/ecological interactions. The Verde river reservoir is located on the borderland of the cities of Campo Largo and Araucaria, Parana State. The present study aimed the physical and chemical characterization of water and sediment, as well the evaluation of aquatic and benthic macroinvertebrates in four sample points along four seasons in the reservoir between the years 2013 and 2014. Relative to the physical and chemical parameters, all except organic matter are within the recommended values for relevant legislation. The macrofauna of the reservoir proved to be rich and diverse. A total of 1880 organisms were collected, with only 938 in the sediment. Over the sample period was recorded the presence of bioindicators taxa as well organisms of medical and ecological importance. According to the multiple linear regression model...

With the rapid population growth and the reduction of areas for cultivation, the increased productivity of foods of all kinds is essential to meet the world's population demand. However post-harvest losses from the time of harvest until the arrival to the consumer, limits the supply of fruits to the consumer. The losses in the post-harvest of apples, strawberries and peaches, caused by the incidence of rot led by phytopathogenic fungi, is responsible for most of the losses. These rots are caused by various fungi, among these are the Colletotrichum sp., cause of bitter rot on apples, Botrytis cinerea causative agent of gray mold on strawberries and M. fructicola on peaches which causes brown rot. These phytopathogens are fungi with high ability to spread infection and therefore cause serious damage to fruits, generating losses in post-harvest. Usually the fungi control is conducted with the use of fungicides. However, the use of chemicals in the process concerns consumers, since there may be residues in fruits and the environment. Therefore, alternative methods like the resistance induction can be used to control the disease-causing microorganisms in the postharvest fruits. The induction consists on stimulating the plants defenses through (inducing) elicitor molecules...

Microalgae are organisms with high metabolic versatility, capable to use organic carbon sources such as glucose or inorganic carbon sources, such as carbon dioxide (CO2). This can be fixed by microalgae from the atmosphere, from soluble carbonates dissolved on the water or from industrial effluents when coupled to treatment system. The research developed in a barbecue restaurant Churrascaria Devon’s where using a biological treatment system with microalgae, gaseous and volatile emissions are partially treated. The aim of this study was to optimize biomass production of microalgae from two different inoculums (Desmodesmus subspicatus and Devon's mix) in open (boxes) and closed (Panel Photobioreactor) cultivation systems. To monitor the growth of microalgae, the quantification cellular method was standardized by correlation (R2) between absorbance (682nm) Chlorophyll a (mg.m-3) and dry weight (g.L-1). Additionally were calculated some parameters as, maximum specific growth rate (μmax), maximum biomass productivity (Pmax) and maximum cellular density (MCD) of the cultures. Biochemical analyses for lipids, carbohydrates and proteins were performed in both biomasses from optimized cultivations. The results indicated that in the open system the smoke was the most significant variable in the production of biomass...

Acompanha: Raciocinal e empírico: caderno pedagógico; This assignment is a qualitative research on mediation scripts in the teaching- learning experiment of Newton's second law. We started the research with documentary analysis of the historical demand, looking diagnose the production of script about second law on last fifty years, based on the historical archives of the Colégio Estadual do Paraná. The results of the literature search showed that there was not didactic-methodological, development in relation the guidelines for execution of experimental practices around Newton's second law. Even with the technological and instrumental development of laboratories already interfaced with photogates and computers, the scripts still prefer a traditional school design highly reproductivist science. We conclude from since the projects as the PSSC (MIT), of the Harvard and others, who had a technical basis and that the proposed Physical learning becoming the students in little scientists. And which provided students with a lot of motor skills and an automated learning and, finishes up neglecting the cognitive part of this process between observations and facts, in our view this confirms a science of dissemination of teaching design in the pamphlet style. To help us in this problem we sought studies of Gaston Bachelard...

This presentation aims to discuss some results of one of the actions of the Continued Teacher‟s Training in Higher Education in progress at UTFPR Pato Branco Campus. At first we present a brief review of the history of continued teacher training in Brazilian Higher Education. The theoretical basis that supports this work is the following: the Bakhtinian theory of dialogic discourse analysis; the Vygotskian theory of human development; and the psychology theory of Clot‟s work. The protagonists of this intervention were two teachers from the Informatics Department of UTFPR Pato Branco Campus. The methodology was of the developmental type and the method used was the simple and crossed self-confrontation, which consists in confronting the teacher with a sequence of his images in class and, from these pictures, in leading him to dialogue and reflect. In order to attempt to understand the conditions under which teacher development occurs, dialogue transcripts of self-confrontations were analyzed. The transcription was performed according to the NURC-SP project standards. In the produced documentation, an analysis of dialogic discourse was performed in order to verify if teacher‟s development occurs and, if so, in order to establish how teacher‟s development occurs by using language. We note that it is difficult for teachers to do their work: the teacher's desk is low...

Through a global market increasingly aggressive and competitive, many industries are seeking ways to keep competitive. The Product Development Process (PDP) plays an important role in the strategy of companies that look for a competitive advantage. However, for the PDP become a competitive advantage, it must provide a minimum level of maturity, which represents the growth potential of training, the wealth of the organization's process and the consistency which it is applied in all its projects. There are several models for assessing the maturity of the PDP, but the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) provides an integrated solution that covers development activities and maintenance of products and services. However, it was originally created to analyze the information technology industries, not covering the terms used in manufacturing companies. Thus, the aim of this work is propose a strategy to adapt the CMMI - DEV 1.3, enabling easier understanding of their goals and practices for manufacturing companies. For it is presented a review on the CMMI - DEV 1.3 PDP manufacturing companies and strategies used to adapt terms of methods models or tools among different speciality areas, including a detailed concept of their items in order to identify the part of the model to be adapted in this work. After this definition...

This paper proposes to investigate the associations between domestic technologies and types of femininity in the magazine Casa & Jardim (House & Garden) as gender pedagogies media. The outline of the study focuses the discourses of textual and image about domestic technologies in the magazine Casa & Jardim during the 1950s and 1960s. In this context, the magazines aimed at female audiences sought to create an identification of women with space and domestic consumption, presenting the home technologies, especially appliances, as resources that could ensure domestic comfort, facilitating the daily routines of housewives and providing more welfare families. In this record, the household technologies both favored as charmed everyday activities. However, in parallel, the standards of cleanliness and organization of homes also become significantly more demanding. From a qualitative interpretative approach, will understand how they were configured representations of "ideal housewife" in the magazine Casa & Jardim. We point out that the discourses in the magazine of the household technologies played an important role in the generated expectations regarding the middle class modern housewife role, whose social identity was closely tied to images of wife and mother.; CAPES; Neste trabalho...

The growing competition stimulates organizations to invest in something that provides them with very competitive advantages. Through this, it is possible to verify that the contained knowledge in the organizations' human resources is the unique belonging capable of assuring them a good position into the market. The relationship between organization and its staff, when viewed through the optics of knowledge, becomes clearer. Due to this, it is noticeable the need for investment in learning, once knowledge is the only one active which remains powerful when all the rest is in crisis. The organization that really invests in learning and knowledge generation, that values its intellectual capital, owns a great differential in the face of competition once these actives, which constitute the intellectual capital, determine either the success or failure of an organization. In this sense, this work is inserted in the context of university libraries and aims to approach the importance of attributing value to the intellectual capital of their managers.; A crescente competitividade impulsiona as organizações a investirem em algo que realmente as propicie vantagens competitivas, com isso, é possível verificar que o conhecimento contido nos recursos humanos dessas organizações é o único bem capaz de lhes assegurar um bom posicionamento no mercado. It is proposed in this dissertation a traffic optimization model based on neuro-fuzzy inference systems (ANFIS) to be applied in real-time optimization, targeting the architecture of the traffic control system deployed in the city of Curitiba, considering its properties and restrictions. The model presented herein has a similar approach to the best known dynamic traffic optimization system, SCOOT, implementing hill-climbing optimization on a performance index defined as a weighted sum of the links' measures of effectiveness. However, the nature of the traffic flow sampling in Curitiba, by not distinguishing the flow tuning rates, implies the simulation model should be closer to those implemented by offline traffic simulation tools. Transyt, which is one of the most popular offline traffic simulators, was used in order to generate training data and as a reference to validate the results. Real-time optimization based on the mathematical model of Transyt cannot be applied to systems with a large number of intersections in the current state of technology, due to the high computational costs of the algorithms, unless by imposing restrictions on the search space. ANFIS was used in order to capture the knowledge of the simulator, which means to approximate Transyt's outputs. ANFIS was chosen due to its precision and low execution time. Its estimations made it possible the real-time execution of optimization algorithms for a very large number of intersections. Regarding the optimization processes...
