This paper presents a school proposal for that has as interest the students' motivation to learn Mathematics. Several bibliographies that propose Mathematical Modeling as an alternative teaching Mathematics, connecting school knowledge to everyday studen were surveyed. Following, we describe our proposal of teaching applied to a class of sixth grade of elementary school in which the contents of a circle and its elements, irrational numbers and operations with decimals, through the activity we call "Feast of Mathematics" were worked. In this proposal, we illustrate how these math concepts are present in everyday life and can be worked into a series that does not include in the grade’s curriculum such subjects, fleeing the linear aspect present in most curricula programs. The methodology used in the research was qualitative and the data were collected at weekly meetings of teaching Mathematics during the months of October and November in the academic year of 2013. From the developed work, there were noticed significant improvements in students' interest in learning Math, which provided, consequently, improvements in individual performance of each student and in the class as a whole. In the history of institutionalization of higher education, the university, especially in Brazil, universities occupy centrality in the production of knowledge through research and also in the training of researchers and professionals to work in different segments. Thus, this dissertation sought to understand the expansion of higher education in the context of Postgraduate (Sensu Stricto) in the Southwestern region of Paraná, from analysis of the dynamics and movements related to public policy contexts of higher education. Currently, an environmental crisis poses challenges to humanity towards sustainable development. Especially the Brazilian rural areas, from the 90's, increased research and the defense of family farming as an option for sustainable rural development. In this context, the sustainability evaluation processes are considered important allies for decision making and management of sustainability in family agro-ecosystems. Thus, we defined the objective for this research to evaluate the sustainability level of agro-ecosystems of family farmers who work in the open-air market of Pato Branco- PR. To attend the above objective, there was a case study with a sample of 10 agroecosystems of family farmers who work in the open-air market. To operationalize the evaluation process of sustainability were: (i) identified 133 indicators proposed in previous national surveys; (ii) conducted validation of indicators considered as appropriate to the context, in the perception of technical managers organs and of the farmers responsible for agro-ecosystems; (iii) selected 37 sustainability indicators, grouped into dimensions social, environmental and economic. This research sought to understand the social perspective of residents affected by the Baixo Iguaçu Hydroelectric based on theories of Young (2000; 2006) and Hannigan (1995). The field study was conducted with affected residents of the municipalities of Paraná Capitão Leonidas Marques, Capanema, Nova Prata do Iguaçu, Realeza and Planalto. The objective was to evaluate the social perspective built by affected residents of that place, in a cropped period for this research due to the deployment of the hydroelectric process being that the conflict is still ongoing. A methodology used literature review, semi-structured interviews with residents and leaders and content analysis. In the second segment, presented the context of the scenario - the theories used and the literature review on the implementation of a hydroelectric, development theories that situate this scenario, conflicts generated by different land uses and environmental licensing. Corrugated pipes have been used in several branches in the engineering, e.g, in transport flex line of oil in sea, where its installation, handling and remotion, become the process more practice due its flexibility. However, flow in corrugated pipes, in general, are subjects to an increase of drop pressure, an increase in the turbulence and deviations in the flow pattern as compared to the flow usually observed in pipes with constant cross section. In this sense, the present work shows an study both numerically and experimental of turbulent flow in corrugated pipes with helical grooves for different helix angles (or pitch) and Reynolds numbers varying between 7.500 and 100.000. The flow is modeled mathematically by the mass conservation and momentum equations, assuming the fluid is Newtonian and incompressible. To the flow, is applied the turbulence model of two equations, Baseline Model. The system equations resulted from mathematical modelling is discretized by using the element-based finite-volume method approach, and solved through the ANSYS-CFX. For this, the research was based on the guiding documents to education in elementary school National Curriculum Parameters (PCN) and Cross Cutting Themes. It also sought theoretical support about the concepts related to the menstrual cycle (FOX, 2007; Moore, Dalley, 2001; BERENSTEIN, 2001; Coutinho, 1996). This is a qualitative, interpretive nature. The work was developed in a state school education in the city of Ponta Grossa / Pr, with twenty-five students in the 6th grade of elementary school. Data collection occurred through photographic records, audio recordings, protocol of observation participant, records of activities. By applying the instructional sequence data were obtained (through a questionnaire in order to raise the students' preconceptions about the subject, about six modules that address various aspects of the menstrual cycle, and the final production, performed with application of a game). The study was performed with 50 senior high school students of the morning period from a public school in Ponta Grossa. Quantitative and evaluation methodological approaches were used. For data collection a questionnaire with open-ended and closed-ended questions was used. However, in order to expand the data collection, field diary notes, audio and video recording were used. The total of activities performed was divided in 15 moments, in which it was attempted to establish social relationships of science and technology. The main results made evident that initially they had no knowledge of this function and its social implications. It was possible to realize that the use of the game proposed in this study stimulated the student's curiosity and learning, showing it as a strategy for teaching and for social, emotional and intellectual development of students. With the intention to reach the aimed, a radio station was implemented in which students produce texts characteristic of speech genre of the radio sphere. The interest in implementing a radio station in school came from the intend in using this radio station as a pedagogical tool, since the learners live in constant search of better teaching strategies. The research was explanatory in nature, having as a central concern the identification of factors that determine or contribute to the occurrence of phenomena. The search is to find an explanation on how to implement a radio station as a teaching tool. The approach to this problem is qualitative. The findings indicated that the activities developed through the project radio Canoas were able to put students in touch with a radio station, making use of information and communication technologies, and improved the students' textual production, which was made by bias of speech genres of the radio sphere. Jatobá creates a critical vision of work in relation to migrant workers unsuitable in São Paulo during the 1960s and 1970s. Interpret and discuss the work of vision in Jatobá is the objective of the dissertation. This dissertation part of a multidisciplinary perspective of Literature, Sociology, Social History and Philosophy of language. The discussion on the language and work as constitutive of the social considers the contributions of several authors that question what is the work and the language. This dissertation consists of a discourse analysis of the labor world in the novel Jorge, um brasileiro, by Oswaldo França Junior, published in 1967. This research is theoretically founded - for the field of language and literature – on the concepts of Mikhail Bakhtin and the Circle, which enables the perception of certain artistic and compositional peculiarities in the novel structure from the dialogic matrix as a constitutive principle of all discourse. This research builds on the reflections on the labor world by thinkers who contributed to a more critical look at this issue such as Marx and Engels, Lukacs, Gorz, Marcuse and Antunes. This theoretical foundation is an excerpt of the framework of thinkers who are studied in the research project "The discursive formalization of the labor and technology spheres in Brazilian literary texts", Graduate Technology Program from the UTFPR, which this dissertation isconnected to. The process is presented as a viable way to produce blends of PLLA/TPS/gelatin with interesting functional properties and homogeneous appearance. The addition of gelatin in different proportions (1, 3 and 5% related to TPS) showed a significant difference in the solubility test results, the water vapor permeability (WVP) and water sorption isotherms due to gelatin hydrophilicity. Furthermore the incorporation of gelatin in the blend significantly affected the mechanical properties by reducing stiffness associated with incompatibility between PLLA, starch and gelatin, as shown by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) micrographs.
